Well I only live a mile from a custom bar maker that's very popular nationwide and he has made up to a 102" bar for a guy with a huge oak. In reality that 090 will pull a 60" bar with a ton of authority but that 84" really taxed it. I wouldn't want to try more bar without it having a double headed bar setup. It is kinda funny that the 880 with the big 36" bar is only the pilot saw for the really big 84" one.

I've enjoyed all the vids in this thread. Stihlman, that Red Gum is some wild looking stuff indeed. Just when I think I've seen the freakiest looking wood in OZ, I see something to top it. You guys have some crazy wood down yonder.

Ya yu right mate,but at the time the farmer was about to sell the place,had to do three trees in three or four weeks and had to split the wood between three of us.:msp_sad:
