I am a contract employee (faller) but I have not had not had my equipment checked out yet because my calendar is so full. I don't want Cal Fire to call me for 2 weeks or so.

The area around Santa Barbara is very brushy with few big trees. Still I'm sure some fallers are at work there.

Yeah, there is. Not much,though. We don't need, or want, any more more fires.
