Just bought a 394XP from mdavlee. She's a stock saw but I would like to mod the muff to begin with. Anyone know where to get the 288 deflectors from for the extra port?
Where do I start for porting the jug and piston? I haven't found a thread yet specific to the 394....

I've got a smaller one setting here. I don't have the screen for it. It was backordered and I needed the other stuff in the order so I cancelled it. Here's a picture of both of them. The larger is on the 390 and the smaller one is beside it.

It's a real good runner the way it is. Here's a video of it and the modded 390xp.

Got all the supplies at a nearby dealer. I will have it in 2 days!!

The 390 is ported and the 394 is stock. That 390 has 175 lbs of compression too.

With that 390 I didn't have a need for the 394. That 390 came from Burvol. He had the cylinder machined and ported it himself.

The 394 doesn't truly make you go "wow" until you have a buried 42" bar hanging off it (nice 390 though!). Awesome saws, still my favorite big saw - Sam

Yeah the 394 is the first saw I didn't think needed modded when I first run it. A 660 left me disappointed even with a 32" bar buried.

I am gonna Muff mod that 394 Wed or Thur night, retune and take some vids for ya Mark!

Yeah the muffler mod won't take as long as getting it off and cleaned after you poke a hole in it. His 372 has been ported by Brad. My 576 and 390 are ported, the 5105 is still stock. I need to swap the muffler to a non cat one on it.

Yep..The 372xpw I got is one helluva saw! Runs a 32" full skip real nice!!!

The 394 will pull full comp on a 32" real good. I ran full comp in 32" and 28" on it most of the time.
