A strong wind will send them flying unless you anchor them good, and the canopy fabric is not that strong. I doubt it would survive through a winter.
A guy near here sells used billboard tarps for $45. They are very strong and huge, and can be cut to fit.
Those work well but can get rather stiff in the cold. Not a huge issue if covering stacks but on a large pile with snow on it it gets kinda clumsy. They do last a long time though.

@kyle1! funny thing i did almost all the landscaping up there when they built that store, all the island stuff I did for the guy I was working for, sure its all changed now been 20 years ago lol
