It's an MS200T. Not a tinker toy. Widely acclaimed to be one of the best top handled arborist saws ever.

... and the most expensive. They say if you drop it out of a tree from 30' up, it will still run after it hits the ground, even if it lands on concrete. However, I've never seen that feat.

It may still run but I've seen some pretty busted up ones.

My guess would be that the chain has been stretched out of pitch, due to a severely worn sprocket and or lack of lube.
