Chainsaws-Three Generations

Just thought I would post a few pictures of the three saws I was cutting with today. The big boy in front is a Homelite 7-21C [48" bar] from the late 50s, the middle saw is a Stihl 048 AV [36" bar] from the mid 80s, and the new firewood saw a Husqvarna 455 [20" bar].

Nice saws that homelite looks like a beast. Here are my firewood cutters.

The Homelite is strictly a novelty, but it gives you appreciation for the old fallers! Mine is just under 40 pounds with fuel and oil.

Yes saws came a long way.I collect a few old saws have one about the same age.A while ago my cousin came out 2 the woods 2 log with me, he brought an old 0-41 stihl with no anti vibration he got nothing done.I sold him an old 0-44 he cut twice as much, now he has a new 440 also as he could no longer stand the 0-41 even as a backup lol.
