I'm glad I have some very well seasoned Red Oak for just such an occasion. This wood was windblown and layed across a log road for a few years and then was cut into 8-10' lengths and dragged out of the way. It had been there long enough there was no bark left on it. It was -10 here this morning and very windy all night and didn't get much above zero all day, it's -2 right now and in about two hours I'll have to go out and load her up with some more of it.
