Compression Tester Fail?

you test it again a known to be accurate high grade gauge... like a Snap-on or Drager.
which should agree with each other to check your calibration standards.

Snap-on compression gauge sets come with several adapters with valve on tip.

How do you test your gauge to make sure it is accurate?

I converted the Lisle to a quick disconnect with a air coupler, I will be hooking it to the compressor soon to see where I stand. Considering how cheap the schrader is for this one, I will be getting one tomorrow.
 
My new gauge already has the shrader valve leaking. I can blow through it backwards. It has no tension at all.
 
I finally tested the gauge today against the gauges on my air compressor and it is reading 30 lbs low at 60 lbs, 90 lbs and 120 lbs. I guess it's time to get a new gauge. I tested the cheaper gauge that my friend let me borrow and it is only 5 lbs low which would be acceptable.

Any suggestions on a gauge and a place to buy it?
