Craftsman Roper 3.7 spark screen

Anyone remove the spark screen assembly on a Craftsman Roper 3.7? No high speed needle adjustment.

Different saw and manufacturer.

I know, I was just speaking of removing a spark screen, do you need to know HOW to on that saw? Or opinions if it does anything?

Does it help any? The screen is attached to the muffler baffle. Can only adjust low speed needle on the carb. High speed is factory set.

There is a difference when you remove a screen but probably not noticeable to the ear. I removed mine completely and opened up the muffler more on the inside so I had to adjust the carb, I don’t think I would do it if I couldnt adjust the carb. Others would say don’t remove it for the safety concern.

Don't think I would if you can't set the carb up for the exhaust change, possible cause piston damage.

If I remember correctly, them have a Tilly HS with built in governor.

No worries on the spark screen delete.

Just worried with this much restriction if taken out will it lean it to much and will it affect the torque.
