Crank shaft wieght?

Hi,

I am have a lathe, timing wheel, grinder and have been makeing woods ported saws and now want to look at reduced weight parts. I know you can reduce the flywheel weight, piston weight and crankshaft weight. Does anyone have some input on the relationship between weights of these parts, performance, potential mistakes, or how-to for beginners?

Leave the crank alone,but you can reduce some weight from the piston assembly if you do the work carefully.
