Deep root fert?

For those of you who use the Sherril deep root fert needle, how many seconds do you hold the valve open in each whole? or in other words how much liquid fert do you inject into each whole?

get a gallon jug, see how long it takes to fill it with your setup, now you know how long it takes to apply a gallon of material. If you figure 5 gallons per inch (DBH) a 25" tree gets 125 gallons. Inject fert starting near the trunk holes should be about 3' apart.
