Assuming these are both from lack of rainfall...(another dead one just like this dead one , in the from yard...) coming out of the winter, we were 8" behind on rainfall. None were hand watered.
What makes one white pine(plus another one actually, in front yard) die early on this spring, while the smaller one instead, just had die back in the leader? (As apposed to dying completely like the other)
Or, why did not the two that totally died, instead have tip dieback first atleast, instead of total shutdown?
Why the difference?
