I have kept new, never-fueled saws inside (PHO) until they were put to work. Not in the bedroom, though.

An exposed sharp chain is a real hazard. Ask nMurph.

Mine stay in the basement. I have no garage. In my bedroom is my dog and my wife in that order. 20 years ago the wife would have come first.
