Replacing the piston and didn’t pay attention to the direction the spacers face. Does the smooth side face the piston or face the cylinder? Picture attached.
Incorrectly stated. Does the smooth side face towards the piston wall or the rod bearing.

Place piston pin spacers on connecting rod with dents inside.
Check your inbox for the service manual - page 50 shows the spacers.
Very good info. Was wondering how I was going to put the spacers on the pin and insert them in the piston. Manual shows how. I don’t have the tool but a drift should serve the same purpose. Thanks again.
