I mix my own fuel using the highest octane gas I can get from nearby gas station and a name branded oil - Huskie or Stihl. Generally, I run a project with a few gallons of this mix.
BUT, when project is about over, I switch to the engineered fuel from Stihl or Husqvanra for the last tank of gas in the saw. The saws will then sit unused for a few weeks until next job comes along, then it is back to using my own mix.
I believe I got this idea from a Huskie or Stihl manual.
