Few questions on Stihl

Just bought a Stihl 028 WB at an auction for $10, it is missing the bar and chain is in pretty good shape though. couple questions:

1. what spark plug should I buy?

2. It wont start, my plan is to drain the gas put new gas in change plug and clean filter. Anything else I should do?

Bosch WSR6F or NGK BPMR7A. A good place to start is spark, compression, and fuel line.

a bosch wsr6f spark plug or equivalent. the carb may need rebuilt depending on when it was last run. and most definitely drain the gas and put new in.

Check cylinder first for scoring and go from there.

I would suggest you whip the carb off take the top and bottom off and put it to soak in neat petrol for a few hours, you can inspect both diaphragms for flexibility and shape. check fuel lines make sure there all free flowing

make sure you have a good spark there

to test that side you can put a small amount of fuel strait in to the carb and the engine should fire up!
