After doing all the porting to my 450 Husky, I noticed that the engine ran a heap better without the stock flocked filter (made for the original 45cc engine). I purchased a nylon filter and had to turn the mixture screw out 1/4 turn. I still use the flock filter when it gets dusty and just put up with the drop in power.
