My 044 is giving me problems cutting and I am not sure why I was thinking maybe some how the bar got bent or something.

Right now when I cut with the bottom of the bar it is having trouble getting through and seem to be cutting in at an angle, Even though I can see a bend in the bar I thought maybe it was possible that a very small bend could be causing it.

But if I bore cut or undercut it seems to be cutting fine.

Any Ideas on what could be causing the problem.

Thanks in advance

clean the groove, grind the rails, close the rails, check the tip to make sure there isn't much side to side play and try your same chain.

if that doesn't work then it is your chain.

yeah I figured we might need a new bar. I will try flipping it tomorrow.

It sucks cause the bar is only 3 months old and only has like ten - 12 trees on it.

and the chain was used on one tree and worked great and the next tree is where we started having problems.

I do not know how much that had to do with it because it was 5 1/2 foot diameter at the ground level and about 48 inches at waist height and it is only a 25 inch bar.

Thanks for the ideas.
