Someone steals from me, they are gonna get what they deserve, a darn good beatin'. I applaud the OP for doing the right thing, something that is seriously lacking in this world today.

Outside the gun forums I frequent, I thought this was a manly place to post. You people that post such comments showing you are afraid of lawyers, prosecutors, never-do-wells, (and on some other posts) your wife should grow a pair!
Stop even thinking that way. That is exactly what allows fear mongering to even have a platform. Why would this thought even have a germ of an idea in your heads? You shiver, hide in the corner and point your finger at a real man and say "OH please don't do that you may get in trouble". Cowboy up, man up or whatever and quit hiding behind skirts!
I was in the Army and this man can share a foxhole with me anytime. Do you think the two theives would be a better choice? I know maybe a lawyer, politician, or for some of you, your wife. Cowards play right into the hands of those that oppress. Mike

Yea man! I was raised to defend my own at all costs. Jail or hell, so be it. This may be the worse thing anyone has ever did to me.

There was another time a few years ago that my future bro-in-law stole 550 bux from me. I actually thought I lost it! Then, a year later, a girl I know told me that he "spilled the beans" to her. He had gotten drunk and let it fly.

Lets just say I was pretty mad. I actually held my composure till he came over a few days later. When I seen him I just went off. He's kind of a little punk, an easy whoop so to speak.

My cousin and my GF was there also. I had just got a MT dew from the fridge. I seen him at the door and let him come in. I don't know why, but I slammed the dew into my forehead unopened! The soda pop went everywhere!

Wonder it did'nt gash my head open. Now that was dumb. I can get mad but there's just something that takes over when I see someone who has wronged me badly face to face. I wish it was'nt like that, but I just can't stop it sometimes.

P.S: The theif called me today trying to apoligize!!! Can you guys believe that? Man I could'nt hold the phone but a few seconds till I went off again. I started about my knife also, and could tell he knew that I knew. He was poutin like a weiner!

Guys I swear if I see him he's hit. From here on out I'd say. At least for awhile. Making up with trash is unacceptable! My dad already said he would disown me if I ever let him come back around. And my dad is always right! Though it took me awhile to figure that out!

And I keep having these thoughts of robbing him for some reason. Think the devil is getting to me. I just can't justify stealing even for revenge.

I knew you guys would understand! Makes me feel alot better about the things I did. Thats the reason for the thread. Thanks again!

I'll jump on the "done good" bandwagon. Theives are the lowest scum of the earth, but one that uses their "friendship" or relations to further their pursuit is just, well :censored:.

From your last post, I don't think you've got anything to worry about from that waste of skin. Especially if you let him know where he stands with you. If his beat down enlightened him a bit, all the better.

Have a good one, and put your saw away next time.

Who said anything about putting the home, kids or marriage in jeopardy. I said quit trying to tone down a MAN. What you do cowering under your covers is your business. Just don't tell us about it and don't tell a MAN to join you. Mike

You chose pretty much the only option i can think of. What else can you do? Call the cops and there going to ask you if you saw him steal it. No? Then they take a statement and thats the end of it. In this case, the guy took responsibility for his actions in an "old school" manner. If the world wasnt full of sissies, criminals would get what they deserve way more often.

Im not much of a violent man since high school unless backed into a corner, but i may have chosen the same action. Might have even laid into the guy trying to sell me back MY property.

Not like the guy was stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family.

Lol. The other guy came close to getting it too. I just was able to catch myself and gain control. I just mouthed off alot after that. I was on his property. Could have been some trouble there.

yes you did theright thing rep sent glad you got your saw back. I don't think i could resist the urge to kick the #### out of him and the guy that had the saw.:yourock:

I'm not a fighting man, but I dare say that guy would have gotten as much if not more from me. You do that to a "friend" look out if it comes back to bite you in the as&. Not sure what grand theft is, but cost of a new 660 might be pretty close.
Get the buyer to go into the court with you on that one. Heck, he screwed both of you.

If someone is tough enough to wrassle your saw from your 150 lb. shepherd, you outta let him have it. Shooting him will likely just piss him off.

Here is Ogar at 8 weeks old and 31lbs. My boy has a handful for sure!

Here he is at a year and a half and 138lbs, he is now almost 3 yrs and a solid 150lbs. He is actually a big baby but 2 words from my mouth and he will kill anything in his path. (or if you mess with mom or the kids) Nobody will be taking saws from Ogar.

Man thats one huge dog! He awesome. I would have been like, "Ogar, sick balls" if he would have been with me.

I live in town and he runs loose in the yard 90% of the time. Your buddy would've been in to big of a hurry to leave to steal anything LOL.:greenchainsaw:

I think you did the right thing. I have had friends like that. i think if you gave him a serious beating you would have some problems. maybe he will learn from this little episode. I leave my saws out way to much i need to get better or i could be the next victim.

YOU should have convinced the other guy to give him a thrashing also:

This is the messed up part:

I get thee and there he is in the driveway, saw in the other guys hand. He looked like he saw a ghost when I came squealin in. I tried not to, but I could'nt help but hit him right in the chin. He fell down but was'nt knocked out or anything. I fought back kicking the crud out of him and said to the other guy, "I'll be taking that saw with me bro". He says, 200 bucks and you can take it!!!

My so called buddy had sold my saw to this guy. Now as I said above, I knew this guy well too. I sais, "well you better get your money back from him because this saw IS going with me! When he realized I was about to drill him too, he handed it over and started cussing my so called bud that stole it. I told him next time I seen him he was going to get another hit to the mouth from me. I said a few otherr choice words to both of them and left.

If he had bought the saw it would have been receiving stolen property. If someone sold me stolen property I'd do my best to do some damage to him.
