Hello everyone,

I found this site totally random and I see a lot of person who know job very well, sorry for my english btw.

Im looking for a used good chainsaw, not china or clone fakes. I want to use this chainsaw only few times per year.

I thought about husqvarna 346 xp, 350, MAKITA DCS520 or STIHL 023C. To be honest im totally noob with it and that is a reason why i ask You for advices.

I found two interesting used 356 xp but they looks totally diffrent so one of them probably is china fake? here is link to offer with photos

and second one

what is your opinion about them? are they worth to buy?

If you can me suggest any other chainsaw on level like 346 xp or makita dsc 520 it would be great
I have used stihl 180 before but was a little bit too small and weak.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ANY HELP

For small to medium wood get a 40-45cc saw (my number one choice by far get a Dolmar 421 only saw a homeowner will ever need)
For medium to larger wood get a 50-60cc saw (my number one choice a Dolmar 5105 or Echo 590, money wise the best buys out there)

It doesn't look too bad. If it runs then get it. Should be a good saw.

Since you are obviously from Poland, I would recommend looking for a Oleo Mac dealer and there ask for the 410. Should be powerwise similar to the dolmar 420.

The 346 in the auction site you linked to would be my choice. However, I am a little skeptical about that particular saw.

It has the top cover and starter cover from the older 45cc version. But the decomp button on the side says newer 50cc saw to me. The cylinder doesn't look like it is a newly installed aftermarket as is often the case. So it may be a 45cc saw that had the 50cc cylinder installed at some point. It could also be a 353 cylinder (a very small difference in power vs the 45cc cylinder). I would want to know the specifics on this discrepancy. The overall condition of the saw is good- it's not scratched or scuffed (ignore the clutch cover- they all look like that will just a little use), the starter looks to be in good shape- no missing fins, the front of the saw looks low-hour, it does have the muffler bracket from an early production year and will likely have a Walbro HDA carb. The top cover is mis-matched. It could be that the saw had a tree fall on it and the cylinder and top cover were replaced. If the current cylinder is an OEM part (Husqvarna) and you can get a look at the piston, I would be willing to at least make an offer.

Stihl MS211 fits the bill. Only saw you will ever need--I love mine.
I found one used MS211 for 200$ but I think that stihl is a little bit too weak?

I ll try to find for oleo mac, this ECHO Shindaiwa CS-510 is good but I cant find any parts to replace (if I'll need in future) in my country so give up with that echo

There's less info to go on, but I don't see anything that raises a red flag.

Yes, it's an XPG.

My biased opinion would be the Makita 520. Yes its an outdated design but a very strong and dependable saw.

J doubt he has the money for that luxury!
That one is for 230$ what is ok, by budget is ~250 $ but as I said, I prefer something used from higher level than something new.

Look for something like this

I will ask this guy for more pictures and information

That makita was my first choice but condition is not good imho

Looks like it just needs a good bath. The stickers/emblems are still on it which can be a good sign. Hard to tell from only 2 pictures.
