Tomorrow is my last day of work till the 5th as well. Brad, you must be a teacher...... j/k

Clean garage/shop
Fix saws
Get more firewood
Paint kitchen and bathroom
New metal roof install (am removing shingles....ugh!)
maybe remove a large hollow hackberry tree that has shaded my house for decades...
Clean and organize house

I think that is enough.

I plan on cutting some brush if the snow and ice doesn't get too high from the upcoming storms. I find that it is easier to see the brush with a little snow on the ground and besides, it keeps the poison ivy covered. I just have to look at that stuff and it gives me a rash.

My 064 is setting in the Post Office. Can't pick it up until Friday. They didn't even try to deliver it today, just left a note that it was at the PO. Always before they have delivered my packages. Oh well, I've got plenty here to keep me busy. I'd at least like to see what I got though. I'm really hoping the little Redmax shows up by Friday. I'd like to use it this weekend in Findlay.

Merry Christmas Brad!

God Bless to you and your family!

Holiday Projects...

1. Go waterskiing. (its Houston, so its fairly warm)
2. Work on the boat (Ski Nautique)
3. Cut down my neighbor's pine tree (act like its real work - try not to smile)
4. Go to BCS Bowl Game - Sugar Bowl in New Orleans
5. Go to pistol range and sling a bunch of lead at paper
6. Continue to eat until I achieve critical mass

Any chance you will teach me how to bare foot, you have the perfect boat and the perfect location!
Anytime I have tried, it ends in a tangle of bruised limbs:(
42 MPH is really fast to hit the water

In my younger days I had a 1994 Mastercraft. We learned to barefoot by trial and error... at 40+ MPH. You're right. Water comes up real fast at that speed.

If I roll off a tube on to my feet i can do it for a long time, but then you have a tube in front of you:(
The advice I got from a local water ski club was to remove the front
portion of a Slalom ski binding and paste grip tape to the foot area of it.
The idea being that you get up normally on the ski, remove your rear foot from the binding and place it in the water. Then just lift your front foot and the ski will fall away without you having to struggle with removing your foot
from the binding.
Piece of cake, right? Wrong!
I have been told that I do fantastic 42MPH water cartwheels

Friday, day after tomorrow, will be my last day to work until Jan 5. Woohoo!! I've got several projects in the oven I'm hoping to work on over the holiday break. I was just curious what some of the rest of you have going on. Here's my saw projects. I'm hoping all the saws from Canada and Alaska show up in time for me to take advantage of my time off.

  1. 076 ground up build from parts acquired in a trade deal with another forum member.
  2. 064 build acquired from Bruce Hopf, on it's way from Canada.
  3. Lightning resto on its way tomorrow from Canada.
  4. Redmax 3800 Snellerizing, on its way from Canada.

It's time to evaluate. I go back to work in the morning after being off work for 15 days:(.

  1. Done except for a few odd parts. Broken in and running good.
  2. Completely rebuilt but still a stock 064. The 066 P&C never arrived.
  3. The Lightning should be headed this way this week.
  4. The Redmax is done and has dethroned my MS180.

Now I just need a couple more weeks off:)!

If you could make a living out'a rebuilding saws... You'd be off work forever! LOL

But it'd probably burn you out, and you'd lose your love for saws. :(
