Hey guys,I'm a newbie, and this is my first post. After reading the chainsaw
posts,I learned that my "yellow pull cord handled" Homelite Trimmer,is one
of those P.O.S. Chinese one's,so I'm not suprised by all the issues I've been
having with it. Here goes, the primer bulb was cracked,so I replaced it,and the
proper sized fuel line, that attatched to it. I primed it a few times and tried
to start it,no go. It usually takes about 8-10 pumps to get this junk trimmer
started. This time the bulb got stuck down and wouldn't come up. I took the
plug out,and added a few drops of mix, into the cylinder, and it started right
up,until it raced and leaned out and shut off. After bleeding all the fuel lines
and still having the bulb stuck down, after only one pump,I loosened the 2
holding screws for the bulb hold down plate,to hopefully release the vapor
lock issue,I'm assuming. Same damn problem. What the heck, could be causing
the bulb to be stuck down, only after one pump? Even with the fuel line off
the primer base,it was still sucked in,and wouldn't pop up,unless I loosened
the 2 base holding screws. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
