I use these dogs on the small Husky saws I rebuild. I get some 1 inch long, stainless sheet metal screws with Phillips drive pan head. I think I use either #8 or #10...... Not 100% on which ATM. Local hardware store will have them in like a 10 pack for cheap.

If you have access to the other side, I would use bolts and lock nuts.Thanks, so you just stick the screws in? So there's nothing holding them from the other side?
I have put these on 2 poulan saws with the screws mentioned and theyI feel kinda dumb asking this question but here it goes anyway. I ordered a set of bumper spikes for my poulan pro 4218. They seem to match up fine to the holes. But when I go to screw them into the body there's no thread there.... how is it supposed to work? What am I missing?
