I have 353 that is about 8 months old now (only seen about 10 cord). The oiler has stopped working; I've checked all the normal things (bar passages, pick-up tube, etc.). There is just a tiny amount of oil coming out no matter what the oiler setting. I suspect that maybe the gear is stripped by what I have read from other threads.
I there an upgraded part from Husky for this because from what I have been reading it's a fairly common problem?

Any info is appreciated.

Cheers

Look first at the plastic gear if threads are not damaged. You have to remove the clutch (l.h. threads ).If gear Ok ,then remove the pump itself, check the screen at the oil tube end if not dirty. And blow air in the oil pump oil passages. You can install a larger volume oil pump from a 357 ,but you dont need it unless you have large diameter hard wood trees to cut.
