Husky 357xp Fuel Leak

My 357 is leaking fuel out of the vent plug coming out of the gas tank. I pulled the white plastic vent out of the side of the tank, it just pops out. Should there be a O-ring around the vent to hold it in place and to stop it from leaking fuel?

I don’t see one in the IPL. I think there was another thread about the same thing and the verdict came back…no o-ring.
