Husky 50 vs. 50 Special

Can anybody tell me the difference between the 50 and 50 Special, circa late-80s? Different part nos. are listed for piston and cylinder. Are they the same cc? Porting different? Thanks!

Bruiser, I meant to reply to your post the other day and I forgot. The info I have is the 50, 50 CB and 50 Rancher are 49 cc's and the 50 Special and 51 are 51 cc's.

Swedish Inbreeding

Anybody here know the relationship between the 50s and the Partner 500/5000 and Jonsered 490/590? I hear a Husky 50 will really squeal with a loop-port jug from a 5000 or 490 on her. Faster than either of the parent saws, even. I'm lookin for an older saw to run in a local 3-cube class. Anybody here ever done this? Thanks!

50 Special and 51 are 51 cc's.

Hmmm... OK, so are the 50 Special and the 51 the same saw? The reason I'm asking is that if the Jonsered 490/590 and Partner 5000 jugs will fit on a Husky 50, then will they also fit the 50 Special and/or 51? Dead 51s are a dime a dozen.
