Hello all,When cutting last friday noticed my chain was running dry and was not using much oil. Checked the bar to make sure the oiler hole and bar was clear it checked ok.Pulled the pump and inspected the rubber seals and gears checked ok.The rubber seal on the inboard side slides into the oil resevoir this is were the pump takes suction . Is there a hose or screen that connects to this piece so the pump can take suction from the bottom of the oil tank? I ran the saw with the bar off and tilted to the right and the pump worked tilted it to the left and it bubbled. Checked a IPL it and does not show a line connected to the inboard seal . HELP Thanks Dave

Yes,there is an hose under the oil pump that goes in the tank with a screen at the end.Usually the screen goes away and the pump sucks debris in the tank.Just pull the hose from the case.Look also if the crank gear is not stripped too.And if the screen is not there, better remove the piston in the pump and blow air in oil passage.Another thing, the TINY screw on the piston, look if not gone.
