Husqvarna 1100CD 2100CD Ignition Interchange?

Just wondering if the 2100CD Electronic Ignition will work on the 1100CD? My 1100 needs one and I found a working one off a 2100. The Chainsaw Corner spec lists shows them as being different styles of ignitions, the 2100 being adjustable and the 1100 not.

The IPL's show two different part numbers, 501 83 19-01 for the 2100 and 501 48 46-01 for the 1100.

Yes,,,,,but no.


The 1100 has a bosch ign while the 2100 has an SEM. You can do it but you also need to change the flywheel and starter to make it work.
