Husqvarna 455 question.

I had some trouble this weekend with dirt getting into the carb and had to pull the H and L screws out to get the dirt out, What i need to know is what is the base line settings for the screws with the plastic limiting caps removed after you carefully bottom both of the the adjustment screws, it does not say in the manual at all.

The service manual says 2.5 turns out for both the H and L needle.

I read H - 2 1/2 and the L at only 1 1/2?

What RPMs does your manual state? 13500 and 2700?

I'm a bit confused here .... I have a 455 Rancher and don't want to bugger anything up!

My bad, I can't read anymore. Your right, 1.5 on the L.

is it the same on a husky 55

It is a newer version that replaced the 55, i will say that on the settings that it was way rich after starting it from what was sent on the post, it ran better at 1.25 on the low and 1.5 on the high, the low was close but the high was way rich and would not accelerate till it was leaned out to 1.5 to 1.75 turns out.
