Does it matter?

Gary
I just feed them all out of a community jug 40/1 but 93 octane. My small Echo saws & STIHL brush cutters with 4 in one mix weed eaters.

I have a big STIHL 510 quick saw that gets my breakfast pretty often.
But hell going on 73 I still try.

Maybe it doesn't matter 40:1 or 50:1, I wouldn't even of asked except Stihl specifies 40:1 for this saw but that was 25, 30 yrs.ago. Am I correct in assuming due to the upgrades in 2 stroke oils since those days, 50:1 is just fine?

DriftMaster, it came in today better looking then the pictures show.
Packed good for the US mail shipping. I have not put together yet but will later.
I believe it could use a chip guard, if it is anything like a 046.

The serial number is on the right front just above the bar cover.
If anyone can tell me what it means # 11280 2197 let me know. :greenchainsaw:
Edit to say thank you

Congratulations with that saw. I envy you. Not many of those here in Holland

Thank you . Who ever owned it did not use it much, it reminds me of another saw
I found a big John Deere made by Echo in Japan, one time that was like new.
The gas lines were disintegrated with age, it was a 80cc engine.
I forgot the model number, but it was pure power & a handful of saw.
The owner was afraid of it, just too much saw for him.
