I need a new chain. Help

I have a Homelite 45cc Timberman . The original chain is labeled Oregon 33. I cannot seem to find this exact same chain. What new chain can I order?

Found this after a little googling. Big thing is make sure it’s a low profile (LP) chain, not just a standard .325

The old 33 chain was discontinued 10 or more years ago.
Go with the Oregon 20 L.P. Much better chain.

To get that obselete chain search for 33sl or 33lg. it has shorter cutters and the depth gauge isn't as far out front as the 20 series Oregon of today. 20 lpx 20 lgx 20bpx M20bpx
For a 45cc saw with 0.050 gauge bar I will suggest the new Stihl 23rspro 3690 series. or Husky or Oregon newest .325NK offerings. For those log fire cuts maybe you want a wider kerf?

Yes they (Oregon) now like to make names as well as numbering systems for their product likes like chain. Your picture doesn't give the letter and number code.

I found the Trilink chain on Amazon, any good? Is this the letter and number code mentioned above for the oregon . Will this one work?

That Oregon 20LPX078G is what you want. Pass on the Trilink. The H78 is Oregon 20BPX which is semi chisel chain, the LPX is chisel.

You guys are mixing apples and mangoes here, along with some bananas. Although, Oregon does make a .325 ‘Low Profile’ chain (‘Nano’ chain), the ‘LP’ in their chain designs does not stand for ‘Low Profile’.

The H78 chain is Type 95, .325 Narrow Kerf chain, which requires a thinner guide bar.

I am pretty sure that the OP got the right chain, as long as he wants a ‘Pro’ chain. Might be grabby doing those end cuts for Swedish candles (really a rip cut). So attack those cuts at an angle.

No confusion here ... I think. OP had 33LG low profile chisel chain which is no longer made. 20LP/LPX is standard profile chisel chain and the closest replacement in the Oregon family. Yes I did want a "Pro" chain. I run a full chisel chain on a Jonsered 670 and a Poulan 3700 both on a 20" bar. Mostly for cutting fire wood but I really like the way they cut and feel
