It has an American carb and the body is stamped made in Sweden. Would like to get it running and find out what it is.

Looks to be one of the Partner lineage models. Possibly one of the R series models like the R 16 OR 19. It was common for chainsaw engines to be used as powerheads on brushcutters in the early years of brushcutter development.

Thank you very much! After a little looking into those, I figure it is infact an R19 power head. At this point I can definitely get this thing running I just don't have any idea what to do with it after that.

Cuts saplings with ease, anything from alders size up to 6 " stems, I use the Stihl equivalent FS 550 , knocks over 2" stems like snipping off weeds.

I have a FS550, FS350, and FS130. The 550 will wear you plum out
I actually prefer running the 550 over the rest, it just annihilates the crappy alders that grow profusely roadside with a tripoint blade I have cleared more than 2 miles a day. It s a beast but I can run it 6-8 hours at a time and when a circular blade is mounted it drops saplings like toothpicks. We have a 14 mile long track across country to our summer place, it takes a lot of roadside cutting to beat the growth back.

The 550 is a powerhouse but hard on the body. I have never found a decent harness that I like

The Stihl one is what I have, not perfect but the 550 hangs and balances from it fairly decent. I have several more miles of roadside brush to knock down once the weather cools down later summer or early fall.
