Thank you very much! After a little looking into those, I figure it is infact an R19 power head. At this point I can definitely get this thing running I just don't have any idea what to do with it after that.Looks to be one of the Partner lineage models. Possibly one of the R series models like the R 16 OR 19. It was common for chainsaw engines to be used as powerheads on brushcutters in the early years of brushcutter development.
Cuts saplings with ease, anything from alders size up to 6 " stems, I use the Stihl equivalent FS 550 , knocks over 2" stems like snipping off weeds.Thank you very much! I have a FS550, FS350, and FS130. The 550 will wear you plum outCuts saplings with ease, anything from alders size up to 6 " stems, I use the Stihl equivalent FS 550 , knocks over 2" stems like snipping off weeds.
I actually prefer running the 550 over the rest, it just annihilates the crappy alders that grow profusely roadside with a tripoint blade I have cleared more than 2 miles a day. It s a beast but I can run it 6-8 hours at a time and when a circular blade is mounted it drops saplings like toothpicks. We have a 14 mile long track across country to our summer place, it takes a lot of roadside cutting to beat the growth back.I have a FS550, FS350, and FS130. The 550 will wear you plum out
The 550 is a powerhouse but hard on the body. I have never found a decent harness that I like
