I called, already sold.
Only posted for less than 2 hours.

That sucks. Would be nice to get the deal once in a while. It does happen though. I got a decent one the other day.

That saw got gone in the mail. The crooked USPS denied my insurance claim and I never got anything. I replaced the saw as it belonged to a member here. I would love to know how I could get it back......

Damn, that seriously sucks. I was wondering how a MasterMind Worksaw wound up in an auction lot of saws. Maybe the seller can at least tell you where he got the saw? Randy, I don't know if you'd get any $$ or even an apology, but you might be able to trace back what happened to the saw.

Skil Gas Chainsaw with Carrying Box and Owners Manual Model 1631 Runs Good | eBay

If this is the same seller as before, he's now willing to ship but has raised the opening bid to $99.99 from the previous $60.00.

Contact the person listing it and see if he will tell you where he obtained it?
Contact Ebay and tell them the ownership of that saw is in dispute?
I feel for you man. What a rotten deal. I though crap like this only happened to me. DF

That thing turned up like a bad penny. Would be interesting to know if it was yanked out of a Postal terminal or if it was close to the final destination. And I doubt if the previous owner was even the middle of the chain of that saws history. Also I would think that if the saw was actively involved in a Theft from a federal facility, you would think they would remove that sticker. Please keep us informed if you get to the bottom of this.

The seller only has one feedback, so tread carefully. Would be easy for that guy to disappear and start a new username. Were it me, I would buy the saw, pay for it then file a dispute with paypal or your credit card company. Of course you would need all evidence and documentation regarding the original loss. Then....you can take all the evidence and submit to postal inspectors for another little investigation. Either way this is exactly what eBay does not want any part of...especially when you have proof.

It's pretty easy for a crooked USPS employee to make a package "disappear" if they want to. About six weeks ago I shipped a near-new 32" Cannon bar for regular Stihl mount to a member here. It went USPS "Package services" with insurance and a tracking number. I dropped the bar off at Goin' Postal because it was a Saturday and I was headed to work. USPS picked up the bar but it was never scanned into the system. Long story short- I was never able to track the bar and USPS wouldn't pay off on the insurance because the bar wasn't scanned into the system.

The other day I'm at a local pawn shop and they have an 064 for sale- with my bar on it.

Gotta fight that one. There is a short chain there. A little digging into that mess with the help of a Federal agent would reveal an Iceberg. And just the threat to the pawn shop would put that bar back into your hands easily.

Not a bad idea and it'll certainly get you some proof.
