Very large Chainsaw 1952 Homelite 93cc - $200 (Highland IN.46322)

From craigslist (Northwest Indiana)

I thought it might interest someone here. Seems like there is interest in very large chainsaws. :greenchainsaw: This one's even older than me!

======================
This is a beast and runs like one. I have not run it in a few years but it ran great no smoke and ideled like it's supposed to.
It does need a new bar and chain, The idiots at terpstras special ordered the wrong chain so when I fired it up last it was throwing sparks.
Then terpstras had the nerve to charge me a restocking fee on their mistake!
Needless to say I have not been there for at least 3 years and it will stay that way.
I go to Gruel Bros.
Now, stihl makes one about this size for around $1200.00 that I'll be listing as soon as I take the pics. It is an 066 magnum
I know this is not a stihl, but its also not a present day Homelite. This was made well.
It has a manual pump for bar oil that also works fine. I have a
If you copy my cell and put it in the search box here on craigslist all my stuff will come up.
Thanks for looking 219-384-6674

My 262xp has arrived

If it runs right did I do good.

Appears to be a low mileage.

Now that I have the saw in my possession I will post some better pictures.
I guess the price is not a steal in any way.
Though the saw certain looks to have low usage.
If I had placed my bid two seconds later I could of saved 20 bucks.
I found one broken part. A collar seal, which appears to be available still.
And I think the 19 year old air filter will also need to be replaced.
Built week 15 of 1991. No decompression valve.
Here are a few photos.

is this a good deal or not

Do you all think this saw has a lot of life left in it? it's a 066 that runs good with a 25 inch . What are the things i should inspect when i go look at it? The guy wants $375 for it. Says it runs great and will have a log for me to test it in.
