ID this Pod?

I'm pretty sure this is a kentucky coffee bean pod but the bark in the book doesn't match the tree. The example on the web matched but the pod didn't. Tree has bark like a honey locust but light gray.

I've ran into these trees before they seem to be rare. Since its dead if now sprouts its hard to tell.

break it open, Kentucky coffee tree pods smell just like coffee.
