If you could only have 2, what would they be?

where are the die hard Stihl guys

I didn't see anyone suggesting a 200t or the (I hate to say) 201t and 660. my go to saw is the (dammit here I go again) my 201 modded. if that can't do it or in oak I grab the 360..if that won't do it..660..if that won't do it..I don't need it. I have always run my 360 as my go to saw. not too much to lose control but enough grunt to get it done with a 20" bar.

Yeah yeah I know that's not two. If I was going to fix cars I wouldn't just buy 2 wrenches. Each wrench has its use. Picking two is stupid. There are tools made to make the job safer and by keeping you out of danger zones. So my advice is don't try to figure out the best two saw combination. Any selection of 2 will have you not as we'll equipped as people with larger selection.

Just my advice. You can go that route if you choose.

For the best value I would keep my 401 or 420 and a 6400.
I can cut (comfortably) 99% of everything I cut with those two.

I also have a 346/372 combo that is as good as they get! (thanks Andyshine77)

Or, if I wanted to creamsickle, I could cut anything I need with my 032 and 056 Super.

An S25 and 4000 (or 5200) Poulan would also suffice.
A 3000 Poulan and a 7900 Dolmar would work out well also.
Or a 5000 Partner and 10mm 044.

Poulan Pro 295 and a Poulan 5400?

The possibilities are really endless!!!!

How about a Poulan 2700 and a 3750 Bad Boy???

Only two saws makes it rough, but..lot of big mature trees here, big ones, so I would have to say around a 50, then an 80-90ish.

One saw, a 60ish
three saws, 40,60, 80-90
