Is Japanese Pagoda Tree good firewood?

Is Sophora japonica - Japanese Pagoda Tree good firewood? I got about a chord for free. So I am wondering if anybody has any experience with burning the stuff. It is very heavy and smells when fresh a little bit funny.

Cutting it is a very interesting experience. In crosscutting you hardly get chips although the chain is very sharp. When doing lenght cuts you get the usual noodles but when crosscutting you get mainly "dust".
