Is this gear toast?!!

passed pass and vac test. Everything was fine but cam and crank gear, bearings. Swapped cylinder on trimmer that dropped valve a guide

Yes.We had a unit that Had ****** bearing rich guy said he would just buy another. I keep on running it around house to see how long it would run few trimmings later and the cam look like a 500 piece puzzle

A bad bearing could definitely cause the cam to go.

bear didnt have any movement. it just didnt sound good

The cam gear is removeable with a small bearing separator.
As far as getting it in time;
Just look at it prior to removal.
There is no keyway. Eyeball it.
Yeah, I thought that was strange too, but what ev's.

Correct the gear on the crank. Stihl says it's not serviceable and doesn't list the parts individually. I honestly don't see how it could be, but if you can get the gear off and back on properly more power to you.[emoji106]
