I picked up a Jonsered saw at the local Friday night auction. The stickers are missing, but the tag says 2095. The collector site shows a 2094 as being a 94 cc saw. Whats the difference between the two and has anybody ran or used one of these. I got it running. The carb was about ready to fall off, but I think it still got an air leak somewhere. It looks well used, but its got good compression and the PC looked good through the exhaust port..

I bought a 2095 Jonsered about 4 years ago. From all the research I done,it has got somewhere between 89 to 93 ccs.Never could find an exact horsepower rating either, but was told it was 7.1.I liked my 2095,though it was far from being a speed demon.Heavy and torquey.I sold mine cause I just didnt need it.I would guess that a 2095 is just a newer year version of a 2094.Probably the same saw.Anti Vibe is kinda spongy be careful not to jerk the saw in a pinch. Its easy to jerk the throttle cable out of adjustment on these saws.Ran mine with a 20"bar,36" would probably be the max.

94cc.

The main differences between the 2094 and 2095 are the ring locating pins are further apart on the 95 and handle bars can be different. The 94 was also sold without a decomp. valve. The exhaust port on the 2095 is shaped different. The 2095 is a fine saw and will pull a 36" bar with ease. It was the last saw sold by Jonsered that had any Jonsered design left in the crankcase, muffler, and carb setup. Otherwise the last of the good Jonsereds. I buy any that I find as they are one of my favorite modern large saws. Very nice with a 3/8 8 pin and a 24" bar. Fix it up and run it, fun saw.

As I understand it, the 2095 is ported more with milling in mind than the 2094, and have a tad less max hp (around 6.8).

Could be wrong though......

The both are 93.6cc, like the Husky 394/395, but the similarities stop about there.

You called...

Yep:

93.6cc/7.1Hp max.
Bore/Stroke 56x38mm
Idle speed 2,400rpm
Max. speed 13,000rpm
Continuous rating 4.5kW@8,200rpm
Carb. Tillotson 265A
Weight 8.2Kg

The manual recommends bar lengths 18-28" but a guide I have recommends 20-42".

Collector site has the 2095 also (one past 2094; turn to next page)

The only difference I can add is the 2094 has a Tillotson 238B carb.

I run a 22" bar, 3/8 chisel, and a 9 pin. Pulls really well burried in softwood (radiata) in fact it seemed to want more when I first put the 9 pin on!

And yep... It is fun!!

Those are specs for a 2094, the 2095 is toned down to 6.84hp.

You could be right... that spec. (7.1Hp) came from Collector Site. The rest of the spec. came from the manual. Are you saying that is wrong too?

No, I think the rest is correct. I must have edited my post right before your post. The DLG report list the 2095 at 5.1kw or 6.84hp. From a quick look, I am pretty sure the rest is correct.

I noticed that Acres' site has the 2094 at 5hp also.

Well, I might as well list the rest of the spec. from DLG:

Power: 5.1kW, Torque: 5.4Nm @9,000rpm
Power: 4.6kW, Torque: 6.1Nm @7,250rpm

The Power curve would suggest the continous rating @8,200rpm is 4.9kW aprox. (see link) not 4.5kW as the manual reads.

After re-checking Collectors';

the 2095 states 7.1HP (5.2kW) - obviously one is incorrect, perhaps both! *EDIT - actually both do correlate... 7.1 metric Hp = 5.22kW

the 2094 simply states: 5.0 - obviously kW

I don't know if these figures (kW) are correct, but they would suggest the 2095 has actually been toned up? Not that max. is as important as working range.

Real world experience: I reckon it'd kick the sh!t out of the 66 equiv. :jawdrop: Enjoy!!
