So i got these few "new" junks, Jonsy 455 and 525.

The 455 is actually complete and runner but is missing the brake lever/clutchcover and i though it pinc´em from the 525 but...

The 525 is more rare at least here and for that, more interesting (to me).

The sad thing is that it has somewhat ruined piston and i cant find a new or suitable one, and i want to ask from you is it worth the effort to find one.

How "big" is the 525 engine (cm3 &hp) and how does it compare with 455 ?

455´s arent rare, theyre everywhere.

Yep...that be the truth..........Chainfinn....if it's dead best leave it that way...choose a different obsolete Jonsereds to love....that puppy be a heart breaker......and that was when you could still buy parts at the dealer for it......notice I have none in my sig.....nor do I even have one kicking around as a parts saw!!!

Yep, i do realise they arent any famous saws at all, but since i dont have arunning 525, i still would like to make it run.

Its not so much about real performance, as its about a tiny collector in me.

Those 521ev´s are chickens teeth rare here, you know.

But, does anyone know, any husky&jonsered piston that might fit with some tinkering. Lathe/mill/file/dremel stuff.
