And the funny part David.........I'm getting faster at doing them. I might have spent 30 minutes adding the fingers on each of those jugs.

An 064, and a 288XP BTW.

How do you determine where to put the fingers and does it matter how wide, depth, and angle

The thickness of the jug determines depth.......width is the size of my burr. Placement is determined by the piston skirt, and pin location.

Those really ain't that hard to come by........but this is pretty tough to find these days.

This is the 2100cd piston and cylinder that I sold last week!! Pretty cool to see it on here and in one of the best sawmaker's hands possible. We are just a little rinky dink Husqvarna and Stihl dealership that had no idea the amount of people looking for all this old stuff!! Also we started in Poulan and have tons of Echo too. Pm me if your interested. This sit is awesome!

Hey Dan glad you found this place and that definitely is the piston and cylinder you sold me. Be careful around here though you'll end up buying more saws and parts instead of selling them. I came here with 2 saws thinking I'd part one out ended up fixing it and now I'm up to 8.

I know these are not rare but I wanted to show. The 42 special and 246 look the same but have a 42 bore and 44 bore respectively. Out of all three jugs the 42 spec has the largest comb chamber.

What are you using for blasting media?
Glass, Walnuts....
I have been using a really fine glass for most stuff, just wondering what works the best.

I use 80 grit black beauty.

Funny how that finger/split in the transfer port jug is a spitting image of the poulan 365/380 jugs

Same manufacturer. Gilardoni

This is pretty cool too. Used OEM Stihl 051 piston made by Vertex . Not rare but uncommon.
