I've been working on a field stone wall. Drop the trees on the wall. Split and stack right there. Makes great seasoning spot off the ground.

I like the view, nice place to work firewood for sure. Oak trees are Gods gift to those of us that heat with firewood, love the stuff!
 
setting split wood up on rock is an EXCELLENT way to season wood
 
Thats a good idea. I would move the wood off before spring though, youll start to get reptiles unning themselves on the warm rocks then.
