I was wondering if anyone has pictures of how the hand crank feed of a woodmizer L15 works. I am building a mill and was interested in the feed system.

Go to Wood-Mizer Portable Sawmills > Home There is a video of the L15 that shows the hand feed.

One rope connected at both ends of the mill to two pulleys on the frame of the mill then the the rope goes up to a crank, wrapped around twice at the crank. The tension on the rope "pulls" the mill along the track.

PS: or buy the power feeder like I did, it got a little old cranking on the handle, pushing works too.
