Work in progress. The goal is a fast true 50 ton log splitter. 7" ram with 5" rod. Beam flanges are 1" thick, blade is 1" 1050 steel. All welds done with a large area pre-heat and post heat. Engine will be an old dodge 251 flat head six. 40 gpm pump and 40 gpm valve.
