How big of a slab are you looking for, I have a few of them to choose from, as well as some chunks that are set aside for custom milling to your specks.

I am about 220 miles from you. Dimensions of your project?? I have walnut and red cedar. Also spruce. All air dried over two years.

18 by 48 inches would be just right. Anything close to those dimensions would be perfect.

Slabs

I know of several places in California that specialize in slabs, one is here in Gilroy that specializes in walnut: http://www.bakerhardwoods.com/ another place to look is http://woodfinder.com/ which has a search engine to match buyers with sellers. Unfortunately those places are not cheap which is why I don't buy the slabs but glue up what I need. Enterprise Utah is not in the center of where you would expect to find walnut slabs from my passing through the area many times.

I got a few that are in the 18" wide range that could be trimmed back to 48". How thick are you looking for?

jjett, I will check through my stash...and see what I have. English and black walnut, spruce, red cedar and a few others.

I got some nice ones that were milled at 2 ½” a little over a year ago and still have the bark firmly attached that would fit the size range that you have.
