I spent $250 on a Stihl 066 magnum, I did not know the history of this saw but for the price I bought it anyway. In no way do I feel cheated or ripped off or even worry about my safety. I would put this saw up against any saw from china and feel confident that it would out run, out cut, out last, have less vibration, and be more fuel efficient. I also like to tinker with saws, see what makes them work, but I purchase used or broken Homelite chainsaws for under $100. In no way would I fork over $500 for a new Chinese 070, that is a lot of money to put down for a fixer upper. I also realize that being and American I have a huge selection of used and new chainsaws of all makes and models in every price range to chose from and this is an unfair advantage.:hmm3grin2orange:
