Here's the Mall Model 6 I just bought in PA. Paul001 was kind enough to take my payment and pick up the saw for me on Thursday. I don't know how I'm going to get it here yet, but it's there waiting on me. Just thought I'd share a few pics with you guys that Paul was kind enough to email to me.

Congrats on a nice oldie.
But i don't think the previous owner
did much cutting with it.
Looks to me the chain is on backwards.

I noticed that. It looks to be completed. I only noticed a couple dents in the top of the tank. The chain looks to be pretty worn as well. Hey Paul, did it come with a second chain? I think it's supposed to run, but I'm not sure.

Nice find. Still looking for one of those. What are your plans for this one? Resto or leave it original?

I'm really not sure. This is the model of Mall that I really wanted when I found and bought the Model 7 that's still up in NY. I know the Model 7 to be in good running condition. I just found out that the condition of thisModel 6 is unkown. The lady I bought it from said it belonged to her son who at one time owned a tree service business. He had picked it up not long ago, but was selling it due to a divorce. She was just glad to get it out of her basement, lol.

The chain is not on backwards...The bar is just flipped over...It is off of the front sprocket though...

Correct. I've already flipped the bar around. Didn't try to readjust the chain as I didn't have time on Friday.

Think I'll pull the plug and drop a few glugs of snake oil down the cylinder for Brad <a href="http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&lpver=3&ref=11" target="_blank"><img src="http://cdn.content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/0002006E.gif" border="0" title="Click to get more." ></a>

I'll see if she wants to fire next week when I get back to the shop. Other than that I'll get it wrapped up in a tarp and put up top in storage until we figure out how to get it to Ohio.

Those looking for Malls, there has been a rash of them for sale in the Philly/South Jersey area over the last few months. If people are interested I'll start linking them in the Craigs List thread.

Brad, yes there is a second chain. I'm not sure it fits though.

Thanks for checking in Paul. Does the engine turn over?

I gave it one shot when I was at the owners house. She was a bit uncomfortable with me there so figured I'd move along. It rolls over and has compression.

Nice old saw Brad!!!

What amazes me is how good that old style chain cuts....

Nice Mall 6 Brad. I have two of them. One runs and ther one im
still working on.
