MaxFlow filter kit replaces the HD2 or HD Stihl Pleated Air Filter P/N: 1124-120-1620 or 0000-120-1654
Replacement of the air filter on non HD filter equipped saws or STIHL saws with Fleece, Flocked or Screened Air Filters will require installation of the Stihl HD backing plate and other parts (not included).
Installation on the 461 may require some minor trimming of the rain cover.

It fits on a 461 fine , you just gotta drill a hole to have access to the high needle..no biggie

It will if you don't run a cover. That's the only difference in the kits.

For an 046 Hmmmmm..... I have one but is it worth it . I have an 044 and it run like a man on fire with out it . Why would it make a difference.i am rebuilding the 046 now , convince me
