I wish you guys would stop spreading the yellow fever strain of CAD. It's driving up prices

Now I gotta have a 797 :chainsaw: Good luck finding one of those around NW OH! PM700's are big saws around here. :dizzy: Oh yeah, and a super 250 (automatic oiling? what a cool, modern feature :) ) and... and... well, you get the point.
:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Hey Jim,

I have a spare Super 250, needs some serious clean up and maybe a little paint here and there but it does come equipped with the Tillotson carburetor. Maybe I should carry it along with "the box" next time I come that way?

Mark

Mark,
PM sent. Good thing you don't live next door, I'd probably be flat broke and stumbling over saws all the time.:dizzy:

Scott, the big box is empty of saws, now being filled with junk in anticipation of a trip to the landfill on Saturday.

I have a special box for Jim, almost cost as much as the big box though.

Brian, I think Bob likes to leave the phone off the hook some times so he can get some work done...

Did the port mapping of a Super 250 versus a 250. Everything is close but different. This may make a little more sense to some of you, its just numbers to me. Hopefully you ca read my chicken scratch. The super is on top, and the one arrow on the bottom pointing up has no measurement attached to it.

Awesome on the port maps. I tried to rep you, but can't, I did it too recently. The lower exhaust on the S250 will give it a healthy torque advantage, but may hold the revs in the same neighborhood. Bigger ports all around. I thought those transfers looked lower.

I am really enjoying your build and am learning a bunch, too.

Picked up my 1-70 today

Brought another one home. I gotta quit buying saws and start buying parts to finish all these. This one needs a little help, despite the looks. Missing most of the starter, some corrosion in the airbox, drive sprocket is all used up, I don't know what else, yet... I have enough in line ahead of this one.

Can i be a member of the 250 group.
This one came in today, A pretty clean
Super 250. Looks like it hasn't seen much
use. And runs well. Just needs the stop switch
repaired correctly.

that is a fine lookin S250. even has most of the paint. can tell it has been kept dry and as far as the kill switch the factory one won't speed it up that much

Thanks alot, I really dont understand how the porting works well enough for those numbers to make sense. But the more I read here the further my understanding goes. I am really having fun with this rebuild and learning alot from everyone here. I came to this site as a Stihl fan, but I find my obsession turning to yellow and black!!

I got this real nice Double Eagle 80 a few weeks ago. It came with
no bar and chain. I had the bar and I made up a chain for it.
It runs real nice. Thanks again BillG.
